Thanks for visiting the homepage for "LARGE" Radio, The Livermore Amateur Radio Group Endeavors Amateur Radio Club. The group is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of several Bay Area VHF and UHF amateur repeaters, and participates in regular HF and VHF/UHF Amateur Radio contests.

The club encourages Amateur Radio Operators to participate, the only requirement is to hold a valid FCC amateur radio operator license. If you are interested in participating with the group, or would like more information on club operations feel free to contact us, and we will fill you in!

The 2009 November Sweepstakes was Robin Gist, K4VU's last operating opportunity with K6LRG as a local NCCC member.  Robin is relocating home to Alabama where his call will harness a correct beam heading. 

 

An accomplished dxpeditioneer as V31RG, published author and aggressive CW contester, Robin has helped the LRG contesting group out in more ways we can mention, including motivation, experience, providing the world with the first real CW runs from K6LRG, setting up our first beverage antenna system, scaling towers when no one else would.

 

I speak for the entire K6LRG team in thanking you and expressing our appreciation for your contributions to the team.  When you are back in town, you will always have an operating position available at K6LRG!

The K6LRG group is looking for support from local users of the 147.045 K6LRG/R repeater on Sunol Ridge.  This is a premier high level repeater that has a great group of users that make the morning and evening commute into the Silicon Valley a fun and interesting amateur radio round table.  The repeater has many other uses, including broad coverage for Emergency Use.
